REASONABLE INSURANCE COSTS
Hi Guys is anybody else having difficulty finding a decent insurance quote this year. My policy is due start of January and I recieved my renewal from Bennetts who are quoting £208.00 which was £153.00 last year, even the compare sites are throwing up exagerated prices. Will have to dig out a Pantasia and get the discount code for the insurance company in there and try them.

I found E BIKES through mcn to be cheapest. been away from bikes for some time so with an 02 pan 1300, no ncd, it was £180 inc euro and breakdown cover .All done over internet . .This years renewal was £178 but i could'nt find better.

Could it be where you live? Try a re-quote with a ficticious address somewhere "safe".

Re: REASONABLE INSURANCE COSTS
Well made a decision and settled on Carole Nash at a price of £166 and that includes their AA national and international breakdown cover and legal cover so all in all a result. As usual called Bennetts to say I was not renewing with them and they wanted to see what they could do for me but that just pi**es me off why not give you their best price then you might stay with them, When they start that carry on I just move because I cannot be bothered with it.

Well done Willie, with just a few phone calls you can save quite a chunk of cash.

Re: REASONABLE INSURANCE COSTS
I had an 'engorged' quote which is caused by the way because of the 'whiplash' make a claim even if you have not been hurt culture.
I had a shop around and managed to get my fully comp with euro recovery for just £99.00.

Mine is with AVIVA 8 years NCD but I do have an old ST1100 not a flashy 1300

I am with Carol Nash, not the best quote but dont forget that they give you uk and international breakdown and recovery including pilion, they will also transport you if you are incapacitated by injury or illness so the extra £45 they wanted saves you paying out for the international breakdown.

Insurance. Hidden costs
HI Folks
I just had to add to this thread with my recent experience. I have been unfortunate to suffer a fire in my kithchen were all of my keys were distroyed. I have had to pay £204 for both mine and my wifes car keys, that's remote clickers and having programed to the cars. Here's the worst one the Pan will cost £400. That is with our local locksmith, even more from Honda. Unless anyone knows any different of course. The only one that was insured was my wifes and that wasn't worth claiming. The thing about this is. have you ever been asked if you want to insure your keys? I havn't and I just assumed they were covered. Even at my age I still live and learn.

I've got eBike this year (although I've never had to claim yet!), the key cover of up to £1000 was included in my policy.
